Description du poste:

Le rôle du spécialiste des tests au sein du groupe d'ingénierie de détection des anomalies magnétiques (MAD) est de faire la vérification et la validation (V&V) de nos différents logiciels entourant notre senseur MAD-XR. Le spécialiste des tests travaillera dans certaines phases du cycle de développement logiciel, soit la définition des exigences, les tests systèmes ainsi que la documentation.

En collaboration avec les développeurs de logiciels, les architectes et les autres spécialistes V&V, le spécialiste des tests sera impliquer dans l’amélioration des processus afin d'obtenir des livrables logiciels de haute qualité pour nos clients.

Tâches:

  • Élaboration des plans de tests; écriture des procédures de tests, exécution des tests, rédaction des rapports de tests, et création/suivi des rapports de problèmes liés aux logiciels. 
  • Participation aux activités formelles de qualification du logiciel avant le déploiement chez les clients.
  • Participation à différents exercices d’acquisition de données ou tests du système.
  • Révision et écriture de documents tels que manuel d’usagers, guide d’intégration et rapport de tests pour différents logiciels.
  • Participation dans la définition des exigences et dans la traçabilité des exigences de la définition aux rapports de tests.

Compétences techniques:

  • Baccalauréat en génie informatique/logiciel/électrique ou expérience équivalente.
  • 0 à 2 ans d’expérience (stage inclus)
  • Expérience sur Windows et sur Linux
  • Connaissance des processus de test et d’exécution dans un environnement de logiciel embarqué.
  • Connaissance des protocoles réseaux (TCP/IP, UDP) et des outils de tests (Wireshark).

Atouts:

  • Connaissance des systèmes avionique, de véhicule, de détection ou de communication

Habilités:

  • Bon sens de l’organisation et de la planification.
  • Bonnes compétences en communication (à l’oral et à l’écrit).
  • Personne dynamique axée sur les résultats ayant un fort esprit d’équipe et un bon sens de l’initiative.

Position description:

The role of the test specialist within the magnetic anomaly detection (MAD) engineering group is to carry out the verification and validation (V&V) of our various software surrounding our MAD-XR sensor. The test specialist will work in certain phases of the software development cycle, namely the definition of requirements, system testing and documentation.

In collaboration with software developers, architects and other V&V specialists, the testing specialist will be involved in process improvement to obtain high quality software deliverables for our clients.

Tasks:

  • Development of test plans; writing tests procedures, executing tests, writing test reports, and creating/tracking software problem reports.
  • Participation in formal software qualification activities before deployment to customers.
  • Participation in various data acquisition exercises or system tests.
  • Review and update of documents such as user manual, integration guide and test report for different software.
  • Participation in the definition of requirements and in the traceability of requirements from definition to test reports.

Technical competencies

  • Bachelor degree in Computer/Software/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 0 to 2 years of experience (internship included)
  • Experience on Windows and Linux
  • Knowledge of testing and execution processes in an embedded software environment.
  • Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP) and testing tools (Wireshark).

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of avionics, vehicle, sensors or communications systems

Skills:

  • Good sense of organization and planning.
  • Good communication skills (oral and written).
  • Dynamic, results-oriented person with strong team spirit and a good sense of initiative.
