Head of Digital, Sales and Marketing Solutions

We are currently seeking a Head of Digital, Sales & Marketing Solutions to report to our Pernod Ricard, UK based, Regional Director of IT Solutions. This role is based on site in London (with some flexibility) and leads a team of 6 permanent and 10-15 contractors located across Dublin, Stockholm and the UK. The role is responsible for the strategy and support of Digital, Sales & Marketing Solutions and delivery of the project portfolio to 3 key organisations within Pernod Ricard - Chivas Brothers (UK), The Absolut Company (Sweden) and Irish Distillers (Ireland). You will be responsible for several global IT platforms and will support the digitalization of a consumer centric strategic culture, that puts consumers and shoppers at the heart of decision making. Key to success will be an ability to focus on business and consumer’s needs, agile ways of working, and the ability adapt to changes in the organization and new technologies. Acting as true business partner to Sales & Marketing Leadership, a strong ability to communicate and deliver the vision is key.

What’s involved?

  • Strategy
  • Understand business priorities/strategy and help propose the right solutions
  • Ability to propose new technology-based business models
  • Cooperate closely with IT Business Relationship Managers and IT Management team to define the IT Strategy & Roadmap
  • Share, recommend and promote existing / new Solutions that could represent a good opportunity for the business
  • Apply the Demand Management process
  • Manage business stakeholder communities
  • Collaborate with Technology teams to fit with the broader IT ecosystem (both globally with brands/markets/regions)
  • Portfolio Management:
  • Apply the Portfolio Management process
  • Lead portfolio review discussions
  • Organize committees with the identified key stakeholders to prioritize the portfolio
  • Application Maintenance:
  • Ensure application life cycle is in accordance with IT guidelines
  • Ensure quality and efficiency of solutions
  • Make sure toolkits and guidelines are created for affiliates usage
  • Provide vision, anticipate and solve problems
  • Define the right level of support for the different applications maintained with appropriate SLAs
  • Receive feedback from business users, make recommendations and monitor SLAs
  • Vendor Management:
  • Manage and evaluate vendors in order to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Governance:
  • Create a communication framework (reports, dashboards, etc.) to be used with senior stakeholders
  • Depending on the size of the project, sit on the Steering group
  • Produce a monthly report for each entity
  • Discuss and apply governance rules
  • Orchestrate IT audits with different IT areas
  • Ensure proper transfer of RUN activities to “IT Operations” teams, when the maturity of the solution is sufficient to proceed
  • Define and implement the right processes on support, service management, etc. together with IT governance team
  • Specific attention on the high compliance of the platforms with security & GDP

What we are looking for?

  • Master or equivalent in Computer Sciences or Digital Marketing
  • 10 years of previous experience in project/portfolio management with demonstrated experience in Digital, Sales and Marketing
  • Sales & Marketing business experience, as well as extensive previous management of Sales & Marketing projects/systems
  • Strong leadership background, with experience of managing processes and people and an ability to think conceptually and strategically
  • Requires Digital Marketing and eCommerce platforms experience
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude.
  • Customer / consumer focused, with a passion for delivery.
  • Demonstrated expertise in excellent verbal, written, planning, managerial, and organizational skills, as well as outstanding aptitude for project management / methodology
  • Ability to partner and build relationships within a wider IT organization
  • Availability to travel as required.
