As an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Application Developer SAP Business Intelligence for the ESG & Illiquid Reporting, being part of a cross-functional digital Business solutions team, you will have technical responsibility for the respective domain and facilitate improvements by changing designs, approaches and working practices. Main responsibilities include the operation, maintenance and further development of the strategic important ESG and Illiquid topics on the reporting data warehouse system based on SAP BW on HANA for Munich Re group, ERGO and MEAG. You will moreover provide advice, assistance and leadership across several SAP BW projects in enhancing the quality of software design, development, testing and integration.

Your job

  • Collaborate in projects and maintenance directly in a close-knit team of experts with vast experience in SAP Analytics e.g. business analysts and architects to ensure that the reporting data warehouse system we design and implement is of high quality and perfect
  • Manage high quality feature implementation, testing and debugging
  • Successfully collaborate and coordinate the product development team across the globe finding the right solutions and ensuring performant, stable, scalable, secure, maintainable end-to-end solution designs in line with KAIT
  • Provide guidance, onboarding and support to project teams for efficient use and development of the system, based on your extreme high technical expertise
  • Improve the efficiency of the system given the fast close requirements within the quaterly ending non financial process and adapt to frequent new requirements and evaluate emerging tech trends

Your profile

  • University degree, preferably in computer engineering / IT, maths or similar qualification
  • Several years of very strong experience in delivering results as senior developer or similar role in SAP BW in a fast paced, global and regulated business environment
  • Hands-on experience with the involved SAP technologies BW7.5 on HANA or BW/4 (including authorizations), HANA 2.0, ABAP, SQL, UI5 and Jscript – scenarios with Datasphere, SAC, SAP ECC and non-SAP source systems are a plus
  • Familiar with the overall agile software development and product lifecycle in an SAP data warehousing and reporting context
  • Preferably, you have KAIT/VAIT/BAIT knowledge and are already ITIL certified or have the readiness to pursue one with our support 
  • Track record in working with product developers, architects and business experts and passionate about delivering innovative, technical solutions
  • Excellent collaboration and communications skills in English and German to deal with senior leaders and business stakeholders combined with a clear customer focus to build and nurture business relationships
  • Flexibility and bringing a curious and creative mindset, open to new things and able to propose innovative ideas
  • Confident appearance, quick comprehension, self-reliant and strong development skills solving complex problems
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, take over initiative and responsibility
