Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Quality Engineer Intern (QE) for a position in the Micro Electronics Manufacturing Center based in Chelmsford, MA. The position requires interest in electrical, mechanical and quality engineering experience in developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection and test of manufactured and procured products. Responsibilities include:

Reviews documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.

Supports Integrated Product Teams and various production sites with reviews of data captured from yields / non-conformances

Ability to analyze process issues varying from basic to very complex with review.

Assists in problem resolution by identifying trends, engaging the appropriate stakeholders and process owners to identify an actionable plan for execution.

Performs assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO-9001/AS9100.

Presenting results of investigations as well as data to senior leadership on a regular basis.

Basic Qualifications:

Actively enrolled in a Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering or other related degree program from an accredited college/university.

The candidate must be a US citizen

Desired Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Experience or classroom knowledge of implementing process improvements, conducting root cause analysis, performing engineering design changes into manufacturing documentation.

Performed assignments in technical/engineering

organizations (e.g., Electronics Engineering,

Software Engineering, Facilities Engineering,

Manufacturing Engineering) during vacations and

short-term breaks from college attendance while

enrolled in an accredited degree program.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
