Job Description

We are looking for a Programmer Analyst for a 6-month contract to hire opportunity. This position is a hybrid role that will require 2 days/week onsite work in Reading, PA. As part of a fast-paced, dynamic Information Technology team, you will support various applications while collaborating closely with Network, Database and other Application teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop and implement solutions to connect business application across an array of different platforms, APIs, databases, protocol and data formats
  • Collaborate and review code with other developers to ensure integrations meet technical standards
  • Evaluate existing components or systems to determine integration requirements and ensure final solutions meet organizational needs
  • Produce technical design artifacts including data flow and system diagrams
  • Test and troubleshoot integrations across internal and external systems

What You’ll Need

Required:

  • Understand SQL and relational databases
  • 5-7 years of experience with IBM Mainframe technologies: COBOL / CICS / DB2/ SORT/ JCL / ISPF / QMF
  • 5-7 years of Microsoft SQL experience
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a Team
  • Ability to organize, handle multiple tasks and prioritize
  • Ability to handle confidential/sensitive information
  • Experience supporting accounting and human resources systems like PeopleSoft, Oracle HCM, UKG preferred
  • Experience with C# or VB.NET a plus
  • Familiarity with source code control
  • Knowledge of data security standards related to PII
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
