We are seeking a part-time Assistant District Manager that would work 25 to 30 hours per week. Must be available and willing to work early morning hours.
This position will assist the District Managers with efficient management of distribution areas in both retail sales and home delivery of the newspaper. Additionally, this position will assist the District Manager with field operations including delivering open or down routes as needed as well as collection of open retail sales routes.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
The primary role is to achieve company objectives and oversee an independent contractor force. The position will also contribute to growing circulation volumes and revenue by ensuring customer/retail service and collections are met. Will work flexible and weekend hours to manage dealer relations, collection/returns, and monitor contract performance. This position will work with District Manager to improve efficiencies. Position will insure that contractors adhere to their contractual obligation and monitor account's production position. They will also perform sales and integrity audits.
Management, single copy, math and computer experiences are suggested. A high school education is necessary; a college education is preferred. A good motor vehicle report, valid driver's license, dependable automobile, and liability insurance are necessary for this position. Distribution or Circulation experience preferred.
