About the Role

As IDC Project Leader, you will be responsible for managing projects within the IDC in Manchester and external warehouses. You will also be responsible for onsite contractor management / site services within our IDC on Trafford Park.

This role is a full time, permanent position, Monday – Friday flexible hours but generally 7am-3pm. 

A driving license is essential for this role as travel to other warehouses within the area will be necessary.

What you will do

Reporting to the Factory Planning and Logistics Manager, this is a pivotal role on-site and your key operational responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering on the company strategy, managing key projects including warehouse consolidations.
  • Ensuring compliance with any corporate or legislative requirements, including safety, quality, environment and implementing improvement plans as required.
  • Working with other operational leaders to ensure delivery of a consistent approach across site working towards best practice in operational standards and methods.
  • Maintenance and use of the Warehouse Management System and other control systems to ensure 100% reconciliation between system and physical stocks.

Who you are

What is key is that you have proven warehousing or distribution centre experience ideally from a finished goods / FMCG background and are able to use warehouse management systems. You will be able to demonstrate the meeting of KPIs and involvement in implementing improvement plans. Ideally, SAP skills are required along with stock control experience.

You will be a clear communicator and be a solution-focused leader. You will be a strong influencer, willing to challenge the status-quo, and be able to communicate your ideas/plans effectively.
