Key job responsibilities

As a Principal Product Manager Technical, you will join the PXF leadership team, and drive technical and product planning across our team. You will own building strategic product plans in the form of Press Releases (vision), and detailed Business and Technical Requirements Documents (detailed planning), and present those to senior leadership at Amazon.

You will have a proven track record in managing and delivering large scale consumer-facing products. You will be proficient in modern product management practices using design-led approaches powered by research. You will demonstrate business acumen and creativity in envisioning ground-breaking concepts by fostering an environment of experimentation and innovative thinking. You will be effective in building a network across partners and business leaders inside Amazon. You will demonstrate relentless customer obsession and work with peer groups in incrementally delivering on your exciting product vision.

You will own the leadership of our technical operations review, driving the highest technical operations practices and raising the bar in availability, quality, security, privacy, latency and service performance across our entire technical stack. You will dive deep in product and technical metrics, to identify problem areas, and build plans and use tension mechanisms to address those at our scale.

You will own the product architecture for our web and mobile employee experiences, including frameworks, analytics, data exchange, security and privacy, and enable our software to become a force multiplier for Amazon, providing a single experience that accelerates employee productivity, raises the bar on talent and contributes to making Amazon Earth’s best employer.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • An entrepreneurial spirit with a willingness to make bold bets, experiment, and roll up your sleeves.
  • 10+ years of product management experience in the software development space.
  • Excellent writing and document synthesis skills.
  • Self-starter, with ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Experience delivering technology products in a high growth environment.
  • Proven track record in the product development life cycle, from inception to scaling.
  • Excellent communication skills with proven track record at senior level.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree, MBA, and/or BS in a technical field all preferred.
