Local Channel Partner Manager - E-mobility (m/f/d)

As Local Channel Partner Manager (m/f/d) Germany you will develop and maintain local channel business strategy in the market. Coordinate with global area enablement team and global channel organization for the support and alignment. Identify local potential channel accounts, initiate pre-qualification of these accounts, enable long-term commercial agreements and contracts. Monitor financial KPIs for the channel accounts. Enablement of the channel account’s growth. Continuous align with local sales organization for both direct and indirect business. Involvement in budget activities of the country for channel sales. Local account management for continuous improvement of customer satisfaction. Creating value proposition for channel partners and ensuring the right added value of the channel partner for End customer requirement and behavior. You will lead and coach the local sales organization to meet ambitious targets and exceed customer expectations.

Your responsibilities

  • Defining and implementing channel sales strategy in specified market and budget for assigned accounts and ensuring regular follow-up in cooperation with Area Enablement & Global Managers. Responsible for providing channel strategy input for the Sales team, and for harmonizing the market sales and marketing plans to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and continuously monitor channel performance.
  • Defining key targets (e.g., volume, prices, mix) and ensuring these are achieved for the channel. Ensuring detailed business plans with regular follow up are in place.
  • Contributing in critical sales and key frame agreements negotiations.
  • Identifying and evaluating channel partners and authorizing them in coordination with the Area Enablement & Global Managers.
  • Coordinating sales and marketing efforts and pricing policies that require channel partner participation. Ensuring appropriate communication, promotion, and training activities in the channel.
  • Training for Channel and ABB personnel in aspects of marketing analysis, market segmentation, demand creation techniques, channel models and cost structures, effective channel program development and channel metrics.
  • Supporting in driving strategic partnerships, developing personal relationships with partners, customers, and other decision makers.
  • Monitoring client financial status and reporting any changes regarding risk to relevant internal partner teams.
  • Responsible for identifying and managing risks relating to contract agreements and prices across customers/ channels.

Your background

  • We are looking for a new colleague with excellent commercial and interpersonal skills, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset. Ideally, you have a technical and/or commercial background and an understanding of the E-mobility infrastructure and charging or mobility industry. You are comfortable working in dynamic environments, with fast decision-making under uncertainty.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with minimum 3 or more years relevant work experience.
  • Proven experience working in E-mobility segment and channel partners and knowledge of German E-mobility market.
  • Fluent in English and German.
  • Strong communication & negotiation skills.
  • Ability to establish relationships with all levels of a customer’s organization.
  • Must be self-starter and pro-active. Be able to work independently as well as in team.
  • Demonstrated experience of project execution.
  • Knowledge and experience of driving application of standardized Marketing & Sales processes and tools (Salesforce, SharePoint & etc).
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, combined with problem solving and analytical skills.
  • A solid understanding of contract negotiations, risk management, commercial and legal terms.
  • Available to travel.
