The In-N-Out Burger Community Engagement team has an excellent opportunity for a Content Development & Database Specialist, out of our Irvine, CA* office. This position be a team member of the Community Engagement Department, which includes the In-N-Out Burger Foundation, Slave 2 Nothing Foundation, Fundraising and Volunteer teams.

The Community Engagement Team exists to magnify the impact of In-N-Out Burger on the communities where we live, work and do business. We enable our associates and vendors to live out the third part of the mission statement to make our communities stronger safer and better by inviting them into the work we are doing with their time, treasure and talents.

  • This position is full-time, in-office only

General Responsibilities

  • Develop a contributor communication calendar forecasting 12-18 months out
  • Build activation campaigns with content marketing strategies, list management strategies, campaign execution and campaign measurement
  • Draft event copy and collateral (print and digital) for all fundraising activities 
  • Leverage Marketing Cloud to implement an ABM approach to personalized donor outreach & engagement utilizing journeys and native automation
  • Collaborate with Marketing & Foundation representatives on cultivation & stewardship content
  • Craft impactful gift acknowledgments, annual reports & tax receipting across all platforms
  • Conduct prospect research and donor assessment reports to identify opportunities for growth
  • Build dashboards and reports to provide campaign analytics and performance reporting
  • Assist with managing software implementation processes from RFP to go live
  • Maintain all portfolio records, tracking all donor communications and relationship connections 
  • Monitor all recognition benefits, auction fulfillment and engagement opportunities 
  • Provide onsite support for all fundraising events and activities
  • Travel: Up to 10% travel required to onsite events
  • Assist with Community Engagement department as needed and assigned

Work Schedule + Benefits

  • Full-time, Exempt
  • Pay Range is $71,000-$82,000
  • The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we will consider your experience and other job-related factors.
  • Office Hours in Irvine, CA: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm 
  • Department needs will call for occasional evenings and weekends
  • Travel time: It is anticipated that 10% of the work time will be spent onsite at fundraising and Community Engagement events; out of state travel may be required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public relations, Communications, Nonprofit, Social welfare, or relevant field preferred 
  • 5-7+ years' experience with nonprofit fundraising 
  • In-N-Out Burger Store or Support experience preferred 
  • 1-3+ years' experience with data architecture and marketing automation solutions required, Salesforce and Marketing Cloud ideal 
  • 2-3+ years' experience with content creation
  • Prior project support rolling out new software (i.e. non-profit platforms); required
  • Familiarity with donation processing and tax reporting requirements essential
  • Project management certification or experience desired. 
  • Strong desire to uphold the ideals of community service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; communication with all levels of management 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Proven passion for giving back to community

ABOUT the Community Engagement department

The In-N-Out Burger Foundation was established in 1995 with the goal of raising funds to assist abused and neglected children in the communities where we live and do business. 

In 2016, the Slave 2 Nothing Foundation was established to educate and assist in solutions to eliminate human trafficking as well as focus on those needing treatment, rehabilitation and prevention from drug/alcohol abuse. Our Fundraising Team supports both foundations with small and large scaled fundraising efforts as well as collaborating with Community Impact on volunteer opportunities for our In-N-Out Burger Associates and their families.
