ABOUT THE POSITION 

As a Brand team we focus on our consumers’ behavior and create experiences to build connection to our brand. Whether it’s media strategy, brand/product storytelling, content creation or partner activations, the consumer is at the heart of everything we do. And we continue to stay true to our brand, even as we evolve to meet the demands of an ever-changing landscape.

As Senior Brand Manager of Global Media you will be responsible for bringing the Columbia brand to life for consumers at scale. You will do this by creating a strategic and cohesive mix of paid media strategies and plans that inspire consumers and connect them to our brand, stories and product innovations. You'll exercise a strong understanding of consumer behavior and how they consume, share and engage with brand media across a variety of platforms. You'll leverage the 'art and science' of media, full funnel marketing outcomes, and will ultimately build and measure media plans that deliver success for the brand and business. You're adept at driving comprehensive media plans to ensure the successful creation of the right content, in the right channel, for the right consumers, at the right time.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE 

  • Champion and steward the Columbia brand internally and externally in all paid media decisions
  • Translate the global brand strategy and seasonal brand plans into actionable, channel-right paid media strategy and plans
  • Provide support to regions with media buying best practices, shared learnings, and drive alignment when necessary
  • Manage a team of media specialists to drive and achieve a variety of brand and business outcomes while fostering growth and development
  • Manage and maintain the North America paid media agency partnership; driving media strategy, planning, and execution 
  • Collaborate with Senior Director of Media and extended team to develop paid, earned and owned media strategies for the US marketplace
  • Manage North America paid media agency partnerships and programs across budget planning/allocation/tracking, media planning/execution, media measurement, and forecasting & reporting of results
  • Stay up to date with current and future media trends and share broadly (acting as the organization's paid media expert) 
  • Drive media innovation by implementing a "test and learn" approach to all work

YOU HAVE 

  • 8+ years of brand paid media experience
  • Proven team mentorship and management experience
  • Experience with global media planning and buying at a large corporation and/or advertising/media agency
  • Demonstrated paid media fluency in strategic development, planning, execution, analysis, and reporting
  • Applied understanding of the footwear and apparel business - preferred
