Job Summary:
The University of Colorado, College of Nursing is seeking an energetic leader to serve as the Specialty Director of the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Primary Care Program. The ideal candidate would be qualified to hold a full-time (1.00 FTE) faculty appointment at the rank for Instructor, Senior Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor in the Clinical Teaching Track and would have dedicated time to serve as the PNP-PC Specialty Director. Rank will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
The ideal candidate will have recent pediatric primary care and previous acute care nurse practitioner practice experience as well as a track record of excellence in academic teaching. Responsibilities include participation in the teaching, practice, and service mission of the College of Nursing and the University of Colorado. Demonstration of academic leadership such as curricular/program development is preferred. Within the College of Nursing, service and scholarship to the University and the College are an expectation of all faculty members.
This faculty position involves didactic and clinical teaching responsibilities as well as administrative responsibility for the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Primary Care (PNP-PC) Program including securing clinical placements for graduate students and serving as the lead faculty for the specialty. The ideal candidate will leverage networks, clinical sites, professional organizations and graduate lists to recruit preceptors and actively expand the database of qualified preceptors. Didactic courses are taught in the classroom, online, or in blended formats. Supervision of clinical courses includes clinical conferences using online conferencing and close communication with clinical preceptors.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
Instructor of Clinical Teaching: $86,500 to $96,700 annually at 1.0 FTE
Senior Instructor of Clinical Teaching: $90,800 to $96,200 annually at 1.0 FTE
Assistant Professor of Clinical Teaching: $95,000 to $115,000 annually at 1.0 FTE
Associate Professor of Clinical Teaching: $115,000 to $125,000 annually at 1.0 FTE
Professor of Clinical Teaching: $130,000 to $155,000 annually at 1.0 FTE
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
