Marketing and Sales Development Representative - Mandarin Speaking

Crimson Education is looking for a Marketing and Sales Development Representative to join their US team. The ideal candidate will be able to build rapport with interested families and ideally, also be somewhat knowledgeable on the college application process (not a must but preferred).

The purpose of this role is to be the first point of contact for incoming potential clients (primarily parents), ensuring a smooth customer experience across a variety of Crimson programs, by:

What are the main responsibilities for this role? 

  • Managing, contacting, and qualifying inbound potential clients
  • Providing resources to families to inform them of opportunities with Crimson
  • Working as part of a high-performing team to provide the best experience to potential Crimson students and their parents
  • Adhering to effective sales strategies and procedures to ensure no family is lost in the sales process
  • Making calls and responding to inquiries from parents and students to qualify them for sales processes, ensuring that data is diligently and accurately entered and managed within Crimson’s Client Relations Management (CRM) system Salesforce
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive and professional customer interactions and relationships for Crimson creating a positive first impression that aligns with the company’s dedication to a high-quality service
  • Updating the record of these leads and tracking their movements to the next stage of the sales pipeline in Salesforce
  • Schedule meetings for the leads to meet with Crimson’s Academic Advisors
  • Continuously improving sales techniques, and processes and enhancing industry

What skills and experience are required?

  • Experience in sales development outreach — mostly via phone but also via text and email
  • A record of customer outreach success including being able to surpass sales-related KPIs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Experience in university admissions (US & UK as priority) will be preferred but not required
  • Professionalism, confidence, positive attitude, willingness to learn and go the extra mile — while being part of an energetic high performing team
  • Experience in the education sector — for example,, the high school or higher education space(s) (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Background in college consulting or similarly parent-focused SDR roles (preferred but not mandatory)
