Job Title: Data Product Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Product Owner with strong project management skills to lead our data-driven initiatives and take ownership of our data products. Job Summary:

The Data Product Owner will play a pivotal role in managing and owning data-related products and projects within our organization. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders, to drive the successful development, delivery, and optimization of data products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Product Ownership:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for data product-related decisions, features, and enhancements.
  • Prioritize product features and development efforts based on business value and customer needs.

Project Management:

  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for data initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of data projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring a clear understanding of expectations.
  • Communicate project status, issues, and opportunities to stakeholders.

Quality Assurance and Testing:

  • Oversee the quality assurance and testing processes to ensure data products meet established standards.
  • Ensure that data products are thoroughly tested, validated, and documented.

Product Optimization:

  • Continuously assess data product performance and make data-driven recommendations for improvements and optimizations
  • Gather feedback from users and stakeholders to drive product enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Data Science, or Business.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience as a Data Product Owner or similar role, with a strong understanding of data product lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, including project planning, execution, and risk management.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello) and data-related tools (e.g., SQL, data visualization tools).
  • Knowledge of data engineering and data science concepts is a plus.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Scrum) is preferred.
