As an integral part of Intel's new IDM2.0 strategy, we are establishing Intel Foundry Services (IFS), a fully vertical, standalone foundry business, reporting directly to the CEO. IFS will be a world-class foundry business and major provider of US and European-based capacity to serve customers globally.

Our design team is part of the Foundry Technology, Engineering, and Customer-Engagement Team within IFS. We are a small, tightly knit group of analog circuit, logic, and mask designers located in Folsom California who are dedicated to helping Intel achieve its IDM2.0 goals by enabling world-class foundational and custom IP development and test chips, end-to-end circuit design, and power, performance, area analysis.

We are looking for the right person to take an Analog Design role in the design and analysis of analog circuits - someone who will seize the opportunity to lead, design, and validate foundational analog IP such as Voltage Regulators and References, High Voltage Circuit Design such as level shifters, charge pumps, and bias circuits, PLLs, CTLE/DFE sub-blocks for TX and RX circuits, registers, data converters, etc.

The key responsibilities of this person include the following:

  • Leading projects and teams responsible for Analog and Mixed Signal circuit design.
  • Hands-on design utilizing industry standard best practices for Analog and Mixed Signal circuit design, Circuit modeling, Reliability Validation, PPA optimization and top level signoff.

The Analog Engineer should possess the following attributes:

  • Excellent communication: Expected to drive clarity across partners, managers.
  • Excellent teamwork: With a relatively small team, we need everyone to help however and wherever they can.
  • Willingness to mentor and guide team on industry standard best practices.

Qualifications:

What we need to see (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related technical field with 6+ years experience OR a Masters degree in in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related technical field and 4+ years of related experience OR a Phd in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related technical field with 2+ years experience
  • 6+ years experience Cadence schematic and layout tool suit and Spice/FastSpice/AMS simulation tools.
  • 6+ years experience with circuit design, layout, circuit reliability tools/methodologies.
  • 6+ years experience with design model building and validation methodologies.

How to Stand out (Preferred Qualifications):

  • 5+ years of experience in design of high performance PLL (LC, VCO, low power, low jitter).
  • 1+ years of experience in design and validation of fractional dividers.
  • 1+ years of experience in advanced LC Tank components layout techniques.
  • 1+ years of experience in PLL Matlab and Phase Noise modeling.
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in Lab post-Si validation and characterization.

Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in

US, California:$144,501.00-$217,311.00

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
