About the Role

Uber’s FinTech team is looking for a Product Operations Manager for a maternity cover role to assist in Tax & Compliance projects in Sofia, Bulgaria, align with partners and collaborate with Product Management and Engineering on Strategic and Support level requests.

In this role, you will work closely with Tax, Business Operations, Data, and Engineering teams on cross-team initiative analysis, planning, alignment, and execution. We are looking for a dedicated, tech-savvy person with business knowledge, who is able to assess impact in the area of Fintech and to follow up on delivery and cross-team dependencies during roll-out.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with Product, Tax, Data & Engineering teams during requirements definition, product testing, data collection, and analysis.
  • Apply business configurations in the Uber Fintech systems and tools.
  • Observe, analyze and reflect on project execution practices and cross-team collaboration.
  • Get delivery commitment from multiple Fintech teams and communicate within teams and externally on progress, status, and launch changes.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities for product improvements and launches, and influence product, engineering, and operations roadmaps.
  • Improve documentation and transparency of Fintech to business customers.
  • Collaborate with key customers (legal, tax, policy, support etc) to prepare the product for launch

What you Need:

  • Large scale, global project management experience.
  • Experience working closely and communicating effectively with internal and external customers in a constantly evolving, rapid growth environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Тeammate attitude to build collaborative relationships and thrive in partnering closely with others teams to achieve ambitious outcomes.
  • Solid analytical abilities; ability to self-serve, investigate and get the data required to help make informed decisions.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, and demonstrated ability to influence and gain consensus at senior levels, and explain complex concepts in simple, accessible terms.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools and processes.
  • Ability to use data to inform and support critical decisions
  • Ability to identify operational issues or inefficiencies at a basic level. Being comfortable suggesting improvements in daily operations.
  • Previous experience as a Business/Systems Analyst will be considered a plus.
  • Experience working within the software/product development lifecycle would be considered a plus.
  • Experience with basic data analysis in Excel, SQL or Google Sheets or similar would be considered a plus
