Springer Nature has flagged the Features Editor (Physical Sciences), Nature job as unavailable. Let’s keep looking.

On GamesRadar+ we always aim to inform, entertain, and inspire through our mix of news, reviews, features, tips, buying guides, and videos.

We are not condescending, elitist, assumptive, or deliberately argumentative. We are a celebratory site that reminds readers that games and entertainment are a force for good and for bringing people together. We're that voice of your pal bringing you cool tidbits of game trivia, awesome secrets to find, hidden gems, behind-the-scenes details, and more as we guide you to the best things to be watching, playing, and reading.

What you'll be doing…

As Features Editor, you'll work closely with the Global Editor-in-Chief to deliver high-quality video games coverage that seeks to bring our readers closer to the games they love to play and the communities that they want to be a part of. You'll be reacting to (and contextualising) breaking news, have a passion for unearthing interesting stories around the world's biggest titles, and take creative approaches to exploring thriving live-service platforms.

The Features Editor will work to grow the GamesRadar+ brand and voice, helping to pinpoint key areas of focus and implementing strategies to approach them. You'll be expected to plan and maintain a forward-features calendar to ensure a consistent output of article types, and be experienced with all areas of editorial production – from writing to editing, as well as sourcing and refining pitches from internal and external writers. You'll also be working closely with the Entertainment Editor and their team to ensure TV and movie features coverage is well planned and executed.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve…

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
  • The drive to create multiple features per week from ideation, writing, editing, and social media distribution.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Experience with features writing and planning in a previous role or in a freelance capacity.
  • Confidence to plan and carry out interviews with key game developers.
  • A willingness to get involved with video creation would be an added bonus.
  • An interest in a wide range of video game genres and IPs.
  • A strong understanding of SEO.
  • A diplomatic, can-do attitude that seeks to get the job done.
