Senior Sales and Marketing Controller

About the Role

The Senior Business Controller is responsible of the analysis and controlling the financial performance of the Business Unit. The role is responsible for the direction of financial controls including all aspects of profit center accounting and control, cost and operation analysis, administrative systems and procedures aligned with Corporate Finance. The Controller is responsible for the alignment within the Business Unit on closing and financial planning process.

What You Will Do

  • Analysis and business support:
  • Support the Director Business Unit Controlling in monitoring and analyzing the financial performance of Consumer Goods Americas Business
  • Prepare deviation analysis as base for decisions and corrective actions
  • Overhead and project cost follow-up
  • Support M&A process within the Region
  • Execution of financial processes:
  • Support Monthly consolidation of the Business Unit Financials (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and consolidation of long term financial plans to contribute in developing overall BU strategy
  • Coordinate budget, forecast and long term financial plan for the entire BU
  • Actively maintain the interface to Controlling organizations with Corporate Finance, Region Controllers and GBS.
  • Responsibility for defining and improving processes:
  • Contribute to defining reporting guidelines, instructions and content in alignment with Corporate Finance
  • Participate in Cross Business Unit Controlling network activities
  • Support business improvement projects and process re-engineering
  • System development and data integrity of financial information and planning systems
  • Challenge and support controlling and strategy matters
  • Maintains the interface with Knix in order to secure reporting and financial plans

Who You Are

  • Degree in Finance/Commerce
  • 5-7 years Finance/Commerce experience including leadership experience
  • Experience supporting commercial organizations ideally in FMCG
  • Solid financial understanding and accounting know how
  • Experience working in complex matrix organizations and with different cultures.
  • High IT proficiency (Financial consolidation systems, BW, SAP ideally, MS Office)
  • Fluent English
