This User Experience (UX) role will report directly to the S2S Programs Sr. Manager and be responsible for working with the teams within Source-to-Settle, as well as with Oracle LOBs, to review and evaluate the organization’s business tools, processes, and services, identify gaps, inconsistencies, and other opportunities to optimize processes and improve end-user experience. Efforts will include conducting, analyzing, and reporting on user experience, translating findings into strategy and business recommendations, and managing projects that contribute to the resolution of the findings. Conducting user-centered research including usability tests, interviews, focus groups, experiments, surveys, as well as analyzing mass data from other sources of employee experience, i.e. helpdesk data, employee onboarding surveys, etc. to guide the design, selection, and refinement of the Source-to-Settle business tools and processes.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Architecting an approach for measuring and reporting on user experience for Source-to-Settle business tools, processes, and services
  • Analyzing research results and data to accurately report on user experience and uncover opportunities for improving it
  • Communicating user research results and recommendations with project teams and leadership
  • Serve as subject matter expert on the user experience, usability best practices, and user-centered design
  • Working with Source-to-Settle team members and Oracle product teams on projects related to addressing research findings, while advocating and upholding a consistent user experience strategy across the organization
  • Working with project business representatives and team members to test business requirements
  • Showcasing knowledge in industry’s latest trends for UI/UX
  • Creating project documentation, flows, presentations, training guides, and reporting
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand detailed requirements, needs, and vision for user research
  • Accounting for challenges using problem-solving skills and seeking to optimize data for the best possible outcomes
  • Effectively prioritize workload while overseeing multiple critical projects simultaneously
  • Anticipating problems and obstacles before they arise and planning accordingly

Preferred Skill, Qualifications, & Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Data scientist, human-computer interaction, information design, or other related social science education and experience a plus
  • Strong English skills with writing, oral and interpersonal communication
  • Experience leading projects involving cross-functional areas
  • Flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamically changing, deadline-driven environment
  • Fluency with standard technology, business software, and communication writing and the capacity to master new technology, as needed quickly
  • Ability to handle potentially confrontational situations with patience, diplomacy, and tact
  • Strong excel and project plan skills
  • Proven strong decision-making skills
  • Consistent application of lessons learned to future projects and workload
  • Proactively identifies and acts upon potential risks and areas for improvement
  • Enjoys being part of a global virtual team
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision on multiple concurrent projects
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues at both a strategic and tactical level
  • Comfortable presenting, speaking, and teaching UX design research and articulating UX decisions to others
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to gather and analyze data, identify and interpret trends, create solutions to solve complex challenges 
  • Experience conducting usability research with diverse audiences, including moderating and creating recommendations
  • Ability to support a flexible work schedule which sometimes requires availability to other time zones, projects, and team members as needed
