YOU

As an Inventory Control Analyst you will be responsible for planning/ordering and analyzing Branch inventory levels, including: interbranch orders, manufacturing work orders and vendor provided products. Also, you’ll serve as backup to the Production Planner for scheduling of stamping presses.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)

You will plan, order and analyze Branch inventory levels to avoid any shortages and excesses, including interbranch orders, manufacturing work orders and vendor provided products. You’ll evaluate product stock status, minimum quantities, and forecasting and reduce OSMI. Ensure Item Master is maintained timely and correctly. Actively work a well defined plan to increase inventory turns. Responsible for the Plant’s lean activities regarding inventory. (50%)

You will demonstrate root-cause analysis by analyzing sales trends and changes, inventory turns, inventory control and warehouse capacity. You’ll establish daily production priorities for customer demands consistent with master scheduling requirements, material needs, inventory objectives and service level goals. You will perform regular analysis and report on production status and activities, and create daily reports to identify and address issues for minimal disruption to production activities. (20%)

You will get to streamline interdepartmental information and communication; interface with inside/outside sales, production, shipping/receiving, purchasing, rep warehouses and inventory control from all branches. You’ll work with purchasing to ensure on-time delivery of raw materials in accordance to MRP schedules, work as a team player with operations, procurement and technical personnel to address production demands and resolve issues. (20%)

You will establish new processes as needed to ensure orders are fulfilled timely and efficiently. (10%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 2 years inventory planning experience, with demonstrated ability to analyze sales trends, inventory turns and warehouse capacity or equivalent combination of education and training.
  • 1 year lean experience in an inventory planning role, preferred.
  • Accountability & Dependability: Meet commitments, work independently, accept ownership of projects and outcomes, take personal responsibility and set objectives/standards, stay focused under pressure, meet attendance/punctuality requirements, show a sense of urgency about getting results. 
  • Working knowledge of MRP/ERP Systems is required (SAP is a plus)
  • Attention to Detail: Attentive to detail and accuracy, perform quality work, continuously looks for improvements, find root cause of problems, own/act on problems, seek opportunities to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to make decision and take action. Able to proactively identify problems and implement solutions.
  • Prioritization: Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment, and ensure timely completion of responsibilities.
  • Technical: Working knowledge of Excel, pivot tables, v lookups, queries, and MS Office.
  • SST Inventory Policy Knowledge: Maintain a working knowledge and comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Work well with others and manage stress effectively. Display initiative and adaptability. Present ideas in an effective manner and use negotiation skill and diplomacy as needed.

PAY

$68500 - $89100/ year
