The cloud platform architect is responsible for designing and managing cloud-based solutions for the company across all business functions (RDE, ISC, FIN, GBE, IT, etc...). The role owns the building, defining, and overseeing the cloud systems implementation, including servers, storage, security, and network on cloud infrastructure. Cloud architecture refers to how various cloud technology components, such as virtual resources, software capabilities, and virtual network systems interact and connect to create cloud computing environments. It acts as a blueprint that defines the best way to strategically combine resources to build a cloud environment for a specific business need1. Cloud architecture components include:You will also develop architecture for cloud-ready applications that meet the standards of the company. Key responsibilities :-
Strategy & Roadmap
Cloud infrastructure Design and Architecture "Analyzing Requirements and understanding the organization's needs and goals to design suitable cloud solutions that align with business objectives.
Stakeholder Management "- alignment of strategy and roadmap with internal / external stakeholders and gain their buy in / required support
Transformation projects delivery "- Should be able to manage the projects and also report the status to leadership periodically.
Track the progress closely and reporting to all stakeholders and leadership team to seek necessary support to remove the roadblocks.
Assess current infrastructure and Optimize cloud infra and applications for improved performance and cost efficiency.
Service Operations & Effiency "Identify and address potential risks and vulnerabilities on cloud design, implementing appropriate security measures, Guard rails, Control tower configurations and disaster recovery plans, availabiility zone configurations, etc.,
Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to Cloud architecture, and recommend innovative solutions by analysing between different cloud providers
Education / Qualifications
Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Experience
10-12 years of experience in similar role, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex infrastructure solutions on cloud - preferably AWS.
Key Skills and Knowledge
In-depth understanding of cloud components such as servers, storage, networks, multi cloud comparison, and data centers. Proficiency in Cloud design frameworks and methodologies.
Strong architectural and analytical skills to assess business requirements and translate them into scalable and reliable infrastructure designs.
Knowledge of security best practices, protocols, and technologies, including network security, encryption, access controls, and vulnerability management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders, including executives, technical teams, and vendors.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Relevant certifications in Cloud architecture or related areas (e.g., AWS Certified Professional Architect) is an added advanatage."
