In your Sr Electrical Engineer role, you’ll help us deliver better care for billions of people around the world. 

Electrical Engineers at Kimberly-Clark initiate design, develop, optimize, and problem solve manufacturing processes in a manner that meets safety and performance expectations. The Electrical Engineer for this role will provide leadership and design, development, optimization, and problem solving of high-speed personal care products equipment and processes. Candidates must have an expertise in software management and development across multiple processing platforms and will have a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and provide work direction to a broad range of team members and customers. The incumbent reports to the Drives & Controls Senior Manager and receives direction in the form of general project objectives.

Responsibilities

Incumbent reports to a Senior Engineering Manager and will receive work direction in the form of broadly defined objectives. Responsibilities include meeting team objectives and effective use of resources. Incumbent demonstrates expertise in software development, software management, and electrical architecture. Key job accountabilities for this role include:

  • Collaboration with plant, product, and project teams on the integration of new technology.
  • Quality focused with an ability to represent the voice of the user for our project and plant teams.
  • Scheduling and planning of resources to meet team demand.
  • Track and communicate progress against the overall strategic plans.
  • Proven ability to build capability with our plant, staff, and TSP teams.
  • Maintain and develop Personal Care Software library.
  • Experience managing and unifying vendor relationship to align to our strategic plans.
  • Own, communicate and resource technology obsolescence and adoption tactically and strategically.
  • Align technology to support the business strategies (e.g. asset tiered structures).
  • Development of standards for to Insure project success (e.g. checkout steps to validate functionality).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise in software development through the integration of complex, high speed manufacturing processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • Experience in implementing capital projects in a Staff or Plant role (3-5+ years preferred).
  • Candidates with an Associate, Bachelor, or advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline and possessing applicable experience may also be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills both oral and written.
  • Quality focused with an ability to translate customer expectations to engineering solutions.
  • Proven ability to build talent within the organization.
  • Experience managing and unifying vendor relationship.
  • Experience with the use of Lean tools including VSMs, SMED, Kaizens, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability of writing and presenting updates to leadership.
  • Experience with the preparation of appropriation documents including appropriation write-ups, appropriation estimates, asset detailing, asset write-offs, etc.
  • Experience reading and interpreting CFIs.
  • Experience with PLCs, vision inspection systems, and servo drive systems as well as experience with data collection related to these systems.
  • Experience with AutoCAD.
  • Experience with the use of Lean tools including VSMs, SMED, Kaizens, etc.
  • Experience with SAP modules including DTR, EBP, and PAC510.
  • 12-15 years’ experience in a combination of plant and staff roles.
