SENIOR SILICON DESIGN ENGINEER 

THE ROLE: 

We are looking for an adaptive, self-motivative design verification engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor, you will be part of a leading team to drive and improve AMD's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market. The Verification Engineering team furthers and encourages continuous technical innovation to showcase successes as well as facilitate continuous career development. 

THE PERSON: 

You have a passion for modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/timezones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • FPGA IP development for High Speed Connectivity
  • Collaborate with architects, hardware engineers, Verification and firmware engineers to understand the new features to be developed
  • RTL IP design based on the feature request
  • IP product ownership, customer support, reference design delivery

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, a Master Degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Proficiency in RTL coding and RTL methodologies, FPGA design flows
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other engineers and have good influencing and leadership skills
  • Detailed understanding and proven track record of designing leading edge standard and proprietary high speed interfaces IPs/Solutions
  • Good understanding of system design aspects and its impact on performance and throughput
  • Experience in system level verification, validation and debugging of system solutions
  • FPGA Validation experience with high speed above 10Gbps line rate is a plus
  • Desirable assets with prior exposure to video protocols, High Speed Transcivers, or other multimedia solutions. 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
