We are seeking a Software Test Analyst to join our R&D Diagnostic Software organization developing the next generations of world class IDEXX diagnostic software. The successful candidate will have a background in software testing that includes skills in automation and insight into various testing methodologies. Below outlines further details on what to expect in this role.

In this role:

  • Contribute to and maintain a testing framework to support manual and automated test cases
  • Develop and execute formal tests plans, procedures, and scenarios for manual and automated testing to ensure quality of the software application
  • Review and assess test coverage to ensure thorough quality review
  • Develop and enhance quality standards and best practices, contributing ideas and effort toward continuous improvement
  • Think strategically in all areas of testing; create and evolve a test strategy that supports regressions and rapid testing practices
  • Work collaboratively in an agile environment
  • Delivers quality process training to technical staff and acts as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical partners

What you need to succeed:

We don’t expect you to have all of the qualifications below, but we would like you to have experience in several of the areas below. We know talented software testing analyst take pride in learning what they need to know.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years hands-on software quality assurance testing experience
  • 1+ years of experience developing test automation for business objects and entities preferred
  • 1+ years of experience with a scripting language preferred
  • Experience with REST testing tools such as SoapUI, JMeter, Postman
  • Asynchronous testing techniques
  • Experience with E2E, system testing, integration testing, and UAT
  • Experience with continuous deployment
  • Ability to rapidly learn third party development / QA tools is preferred
