DESCRIPTION

Come join the AWS Marketplace Offers team and help us change the way enterprise software are bought and sold! Help us bring AWS Marketplace (https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/) to the next level with public APIs, improved scalability and SW modernization.

AWS Marketplace (AWSMP) is a curated digital catalog, customers can use to find, buy, deploy, and manage third-party software, data, and services that customers need to build solutions and run their businesses. AWSMP includes thousands of software listings from popular categories such as security, networking, storage, machine learning, business intelligence, database, as well as related professional services to help you manage and support those solutions. Customers can quickly launch pre-configured software with just a few clicks and choose software solutions in Amazon Machine Images (AMIs), software as a service (SaaS), and other formats. You can use AWSMP as a buyer (subscriber), the seller (provider), or both. Anyone with an AWS account can use AWSMP as a buyer and can register to become a seller.

We are looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to lead one of the AWSMP platform teams responsible for managing Offers in the AWSMP. The ideal candidate is excited about scale and data quality, and is passionate about solving core problems of complex use cases in a hyper-growth environment where priorities can shift fast. You have a strategic focus, yet retain hands-on management as you build your team. You have had success leading operational services and are ready to apply that experience at even greater scale. You will own the goals and roadmap of your engineering team and will have a major stake in the strategic direction of your software.

If this sounds like you, come join us and help AWS Marketplace Core Team continue to write the cloud computing story!

This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically for one week every two months. We don’t like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault tolerant. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the root cause so that we don’t get paged for the same issue twice.

Mentorship & Career Growth:

Our team is dedicated to supporting new members. We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures, and we’re building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship. Our senior members enjoy one-on-one mentoring and thorough, but kind, code reviews. We care about your career growth and strive to assign projects based on what will help each team member develop into a better-rounded engineer and enable them to take on more complex tasks in the future.
