Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Agile Software Developer in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The Agile Software Developer is responsible for testing best in class software experiences but will also be involved in the analysis, design, development and maintenance of automation test suites for these applications. This role collaborates with a team and across the organization, and will take responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. He will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.

Specific duties include: (1) understand the business requirements, technical implementation designs and arrive at comprehensive test plans; (2) communicate test plans to business and development teams and acquire sign-off before proceeding with test execution; (3) create optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; (4) consider scalability, reliability and performance of systems and contexts affected when defining technical designs; (5) take feedback from code review and apply changes to meet standards; (6) conduct code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures; (7) write documentation that describes automation capabilities and operating procedures; (8) estimate and define project tasks and analyze and estimate cost and time; (9) review tasks critically and ensure they are appropriately prioritized and sized for incremental delivery; (10) use keyword driven framework in Unified Functional Testing (UFT) to design automation scripts; (11) utilize knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle, Defect Management Life Cycle and QA Methodologies; (12) develop test framework using TestNG and Selenium Webdriver, complete analysis of test requirement and automation feasibility, create Automation Test Scripts, and complete execution of test scripts using TestNG; (13) participate in feasibility assessments of new automation opportunities and help determine best approach for automation; and (14) create and maintain automated testing frameworks with Java programming language and using tools including Selenium WebDriver and UFT. This position utilizes the following tools and technologies: Java, SQL, XML, HTML, JavaScript, Oracle, MySQL, DB2, ANT, Maven, and Jenkins

Telecommuting available from anywhere in US. HQ at 800 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55402.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Applied Computer Science, or Computer Science and 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) software development experience.

Required Skills/Experience:

Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following:

  • Using keyword driven framework in Unified Functional Testing (UFT) to design automation scripts.
  • Utilizing knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle, Defect Management Life Cycle and QA Methodologies
  • Developing test framework using TestNG and Selenium Webdriver, completing analysis of test requirement and automation feasibility, creating Automation Test Scripts, and completing execution of test scripts using TestNG.
  • creating and maintaining automated testing frameworks with Java programming language and using tools including Selenium WebDriver and UFT
  • Utilizing the following tools and technologies: Java, SQL, XML, HTML, JavaScript, Oracle, MySQL, DB2, ANT, Maven, and Jenkins

Employer will accept experience gained concurrently. Telecommuting available from anywhere in US. HQ at 800 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55402. Pay Range: $114,358 -$150,500.
