If so, we are looking for you to join our team as a Temporary Affordable Housing Administrative Assistant at one of Related's fast paced affordable housing apartment complexes in Midtown New York, NY. (HUD Section 8/Mitchell Llama)

Community Information:

Manhattan Plaza has two towers with 1,689-units of federally-subsidized housing, 14 commercial tenants, and 3 commercial businesses located at 400 West 43rd Street, just west of Times Square. Seventy percent of the property’s units are occupied by performing artists with the remaining balance occupied by community elderly and low-income residents. For more information in regards to the property click here.

COMPENSATION: 

  • $24.00 - $25.00 / hour

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING AS A TEMPORARY ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

  • Greet people as they enter the Operations office.
  • Answer the phone and direct calls to the appropriate party.
  • Schedule appointments for recertification staff.
  • Handle incoming mail.
  • Request messenger service.
  • Process all incoming and outgoing verification forms.
  • Handle all keycard, apartment key requests, and lock-out slips.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of shredding services.
  • Maintain an inventory of office supplies in the Operations office and the storage room.
  • Maintain an inventory of copier supplies and maintenance of copier machines.
  • Update and distribute telephone extension list
  • If you are experiencing any difficulties in handling any of your assigned tasks, immediately bring them to the attention of your supervisor and seek guidance/provide recommendations accordingly. 

Secondary Job Responsibilities

  • Cover Reception area
  • Handle the duties of the file coordinator
  • Assist the leasing department with various administrative duties

  • Ability to perform basic Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Outlook, and Excel. 
  • Experience with Real Page One Site is a plus
