Senior Sales Manager – Downstream (Refining)

You will be a critical part of our Oilfield & Industrial Chemicals Sales Team in MENATI, partnering with customers to resolve process and water treatment challenges amongst others. You will identify and own sales opportunities through an understanding of customers’ needs and requirements.

As the Senior Sales Manager – Downstream (Refining), you will be responsible for:

  • Developing, implementing, and executing Strategic & Tactical Sales Plans that are aligned with the MENATI Business Plan to deliver growth in the Mid- & Downstream Chemicals market space in the region.
  • Building long-term strategic relationships with key customers at both corporate and field facilities to originate sales opportunities and develop strategies for business growth.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather market intelligence to identify opportunities for sales growth.
  • Taking ownership for the full sales lifecycle by creating innovative solutions for customers utilizing our product portfolio
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide technical support and guidance for Demand-To-Inquiry and pre-ITO stages.
  • Handling products and systems, requiring thorough technical knowledge and knowledge of the environment where the products and systems will be used.
  • Creating proposals involving technical, economical, logistical, and financial aspects
  • Closing customer opportunities by contributing and negotiating on frameworks for pricing and conditions
  • Performing standard account management practices to understand customer needs, requirements, and potential sales opportunities while managing account.
  • Managing complex sales processes requiring involvement of many stakeholders both at the customer side and internally
  • Ensuring compliance for the reporting of key sales performance indications through meeting our service delivery requirements

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or higher
  • Have 10+ years of Mid- & Downstream (refining, petrochemical and/or industrial treatment) processes, economics and sales experience
  • Have experience in commercial or sales role with good customer interface, relationship building, and a track record of delivering sales growth
  • Show comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and Mid-& Downstream market conditions
  • Require knowledge in technical analysis and adaptation to client conditions
  • Understand general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss and cash-flow management
  • Have full professional proficiency in English
  • Be a fluent Arabic speaker (Desirable)
