This position is within FSU’s Department of Information Technology Services (ITS)

The Identity and Access Management team works with university resources to create and maintain user identity and facilitate user lifecycle, authorization and access management for connected systems and applications.

Responsibilities

Responsible for providing operational support to IAM related business processes and ITS related data integration between the source systems, the enterprise identity management system, and other University entities and direct support organizations. Works with multiple functional and technical areas to identify, resolve, and mitigate issues with identity and access management including identity creation and ongoing maintenance, Single sign-on (SSO), Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) and provisioning/de-provisioning internal and external systems. Modifies associated code, configuration, and other applicable elements for modifying system behavior in support of university initiatives as necessary. Utilizes various scripting languages and interfaces as required by individual systems to perform necessary modifications.

Responsible for analyzing requests for modifications, configuration changes, enhancements and/or workarounds as necessary and contributes to ongoing improvements and enhancements of FSU (IAM) systems and business processes as they relate to enterprise identity and access management and authentication. Ensures requests are made and approved through appropriate channels. Works proactively with FSU business analysts, functional owners, and data owners to address opportunities for increased efficiencies and provide solutions for recurring issues. Follows established procedures for testing and migration of fixes. Provides clear and sufficient documentation of issues and subsequent resolutions, while updating tickets and cases. Updates test scripts and configuration documents to accommodate modifications and/or configuration changes. Develops test scenarios.

Responsible for supporting reporting and information needs by ensuring requests are made through the appropriate channels. Analyses to determine the most appropriate reporting tool for items. Works with the reporting team and/or develops necessary queries or reports to help support the function. Follows established procedures for testing and migration while providing clear and sufficient reporting documentation.

Performs duties in compliance with ITS policies, guidelines, and processes pertaining to support requests, work orders, project management, change management, and incident management. Appropriately utilizes associated tools in accordance with ITS standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate degree and three years' experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and seven years of experience. 9note: or a combination of appropriate post high school education and experience equal to seven years.)

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of API technologies

Knowledge of user authentication concepts, technologies and protocols

Experience with managing directory's (I.E. Active Directory and LDAP
