Current Need:

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Category Management, the Private Label Product Manager will proactively work with internal and external stakeholders to position private label for the greatest success while meeting enterprise, customer, and patient needs. Key growth areas include increasing sales of existing portfolio to existing customers, growth within new customer segments, and improving sales conversion on newly launched products. The Product Manager must have working knowledge of new product development within the over-the-counter retail space as well as the ability to foster strong supplier relationships outside of McKesson, including pricing, product portfolio, supply, service, support, and all other value proposition elements. Critical thinking, problem solving, and strong organizational skills are a must for this position.

This is a hybrid role in Irving, TX. Candidate must reside within a commutable distance to Irving, TX.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess supplier performance and product mix by monitoring private label inventory and supply, including supplier fill rates and customer service levels.
  • Lead forecasting with private label suppliers across full portfolio.
  • Serve as single point of contact on private label team supporting growth of e-commerce/ marketplace and strategic retail partnerships.
  • Own product content management for Foster & Thrive website, including designation of health needs, product content, and product images.
  • Responsible for ongoing artwork file captures and disseminate to collaborative departments accordingly.
  • Builds and leverages relationships with external suppliers along with private label team to support supplier business review and contract management.
  • Completes own role independently or with minimal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of product management, category management, new product development, procurement, and/or marketing experience.

Critical Skills:

  • 5+ years of marketing, procurement, new product development, or category management experience within the Over-the-Counter (OTC) retail space required
  • Experience and understanding of the retail OTC marketplace
  • Strong interpersonal skills to gain alignment on critical next steps
  • Strong organizational skills with the desire to seek improvements in processes
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects to ensure key deliverables are met in a timely manner
  • Financial and operational acumen
  • Ability to collaborate with all levels of leadership 

Additional Skills:

  • Microsoft Office with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong analytical skills including financials and supply chain data
  • Manage multiple projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem solving.
  • Motivation to grow and leave a lasting impact on the team.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and resource management skills.

Education

  • 4-year degree in business, finance, marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered. 

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$87,700 - $146,100
