We're on a journey to build something new! Our team is building new discovery and shopping products that connect customers with their new vehicle of choice. We’re developing new customer experiences and seller tools to support the entire vehicle discovery and shopping journey in Amazon’s online store.

The ideal candidate for this role possesses at least five years of automotive experience at the Corporate (any level) or Dealership (GM, sales, finance) level. They will be able to manage multiple workflows in a fast-paced environment and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Above all, they should demonstrate a high level of ownership and the ability to thrive in ambiguity.

Key job responsibilities

Amazon Cars is looking for an experienced Account Manager who is professionally mature and comfortable influencing senior leadership, both internally and externally. The ideal candidate will:

  • Effectively and clearly communicate in person and through written mediums.
  • Leverage their past experience in the automotive industry to bring to light new ways of thinking and look around corners.
  • Highly proficient in an ambiguous environment and willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
  • Comfortable moving quickly, without constant direction, and have a proven ability to leverage data and/or the information available to make informed decisions.
  • Approach problems with a ‘scaling mindset’ where they think beyond a one-time solve, to ensure standardization across the account management team.
  • Keen attention to detail, as they manage multiple dealerships at one time, to appropriately manage intricacies at the individual level.

A day in the life

During the first year an Account Manager’s primary function will be to 1) onboard net new dealers onto the Amazon platform, 2) help create scalable processes based on commonly found defects and 3) execute to dealer level goals, which will evolve over time, and be reported during the weekly business review (WBR).

About the team

Amazon Autos is a rapidly growing team, within the Amazon Advertisements organization. This team specifically focuses on dealer facing interactions including 1) new dealership onboarding, 2) issue resolution and 3) dealership development. Our Account Managers function both tactically and strategically to root cause defects and implement scalable solutions.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $54,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $131,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
