Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing, directing, and managing analytic work plans to ensure the accuracy of the data being reviewed and reported as part of Medicaid Program Integrity operations.
  • Responsible for leading multiple teams of data analysts to meet and operational and client analytics needs, at client request.
  • Ensures business rules and practices are followed for all major processes in order to ensure standardization, consistency and compliance.
  • Accountable for recruitment, management and retention of staff.
  • Proactively develops strong relationships with the client / stakeholders to ensure client expectations are met / exceeded.
  • Participates in quarterly and yearly business reviews and provide weekly/monthly briefings as required.
  • Provides consultation to colleagues in order to solve account business issues.
  • Responsible for managing supplier relationships
  • Manages delivery of services, programs, and staff.
  • Develops and oversees staff training and capacity building efforts
  • Tracks the progress and performance of programs, offices, services, and staff as assigned.
  • Reviews the performance of staff and provide coaching, including soft skills and technical training, for the purpose of assisting employees in improving their performance.
  • Ensures compliance with Local, State, and Federal regulations and contracted performance measures in day to day operations.
  • Ensures all program performance metrics are met in achieving stated outcomes.
  • Manages and tracks project budget and invoicing.
  • Identifies trends in compliance issues and business practices.
  • Ensures maintenance of standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree required. Degree in computer science preferred; or 5-10 years of equivalent work experience.

Experience:

  • Experience with multiple programming languages (i.e. SQL, R, Python, SAS, etc) preferred
  • Experience with claims and other relevant healthcare data analytics
  • Direct supervisory or team management experience required

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client-facing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and client-facing skills.
  • Strong quantitative skills and ability to manage analyze and interpret healthcare and claims data.
  • Knowledge of healthcare claim data analytics and clinical investigation work.
  • Ability to analyze and model healthcare FWA data trends and produce exposure analysis and written findings and recommendations.
  • Understanding of algorithmic development and ability to generate data-driven reporting and/or visualizations.
  • Able to work effectively with all members of project teams.
  • Outstanding oral and written presentation skills

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid Remote Schedule (1-2 days in office)
  • Candidates MUST live within 2 hour driving distance to the Des Moines, IA office
  • Candidates MUST be a resident of Iowa
  • Travel may be required up to 10% for client meetings

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $120,000-$140,000 and a potential discretionary bonus of up to 10%. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.
