Position Overview

Siemens Industry – Digital Factory: The Factory Automation business unit offers a Product Portfolio Manager position with strong focus on Business Development and Partner Management for Simatic Visual Quality Inspection (Inspekto) software and applications. This person will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing and business development programs with our Siemens sale and our partner organization to meet the financial goals. This role combines marketing promotions, product management, and business development functions with an emphasis on business development and partner management for Inspekto.

Responsibilities

  • This position is an integral part of the Siemens Digital Industries team for the Factory Automation Business Unit. As a product focused Product Management and Sales Development Specialist your ultimate responsibility is to grow Siemens Factory Automation Business for our Visual Quality Inspection product portfolio.
  • Works closely with Business Development, Sales, and Partner Management to develop and execute strategy for Siemens Visual Quality inspection solutions.
  • Channel Partner Strategy:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive channel partner strategy for indirect sales channels.
  • Identify, onboard, and nurture automation solution partners who align with Siemens’ vision.
  • Foster strong relationships with existing partners and explore new collaboration opportunities.
  • Product Evangelism:
  • Champion Siemens’ portfolio of intelligent factory automation products, including AI-enabled computer vision and similar advanced products.
  • Educate partners on the value proposition, features, and benefits of Siemens solutions.
  • Position Siemens as a thought leader in the industry through webinars, workshops, and conferences.
  • Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification:
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
  • Identify gaps and untapped opportunities for Siemens products within the US market.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tailor offerings to partner and customer requirements.
  • Sales Enablement and Training:
  • Equip channel partners with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively sell Siemens products.
  • Conduct training sessions on product features, pricing, and positioning.
  • Provide ongoing support to partners during the sales cycle.
  • Performance Metrics and Growth Targets:
  • Set clear KPIs for partner performance, revenue growth, and market share.
  • Regularly review partner performance and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Drive joint business planning and co-marketing initiatives.

We are looking for a Product Development Manager, Visual Quality Control. This role is a remote role, with local Atlanta preference. 

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in electrical/computer/mechanical engineering or computer science / artificial intelligence.
  • 5-10 years of experience in computer science or automation control systems and demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge as described above.
  • Familiarity with computer vision applications, and automation.
  • Proven experience in channel management, preferably within the industrial automation sector.
  • Strong understanding of factory automation technologies, including PLCs, SCADA, robotics, and MES.
  • Technical Skills Required
  • Computer Vision applications
  • Industrial Computers (IPCs)
  • Knowledge of Industrial Network technologies
  • General automation knowledge, such as PLC and HMI programming
  • Travel 35%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior Siemens automation experience is a plus.
  • Experience with other Visual Quality control systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Computer vision and Artificial Intelligence applications.

  • The pay range for this position is <$118,500 Low – $160,000high>. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
