Position Purpose:

As a strategic business partner working with management, implements corporate policy and practices related to human resources, supports organization and employee development, and resolves employee relations issues

Works with HRGA head for below area

  • Delivers people processes, programs and initiatives for a designated client group
  • Contributes to the development of the HR operational plan and delivers on the plan for the assigned client group or site
  • Influences and builds relationships with senior team and people managers to reinforce HR's position as a trusted advisor to the business
  • Creates and maintains an engaging work environment by defining and communicating a compelling work environment
  • Drives the talent agenda within the client group

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

ORGANIZATIONAL & TALENT DEVELOPMENT

  • Proactively identifies, facilitates and coaches change management and organizational development initiatives. Acts as a consultant partner providing HR solutions and supporting their implementation.
  • Manages Talent Review & Succession Planning process cascaded in client group and works with the line to identify and develop talent in the organization
  • Embodies Leadership capabilities by leveraging competency framework
  • Facilitates and educates leaders to execute Career Management with quality career and development planning.

EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT & CULTURE DEVELOPMENT

  • Advances “Promising FUTURES” for our employees and embodies CSL values
  • Works with the designated business group to deliver actions that will drive an increase in engagement
  • Facilitates the leveraging of best practices and culture within the business to promote employee engagement

  • Penetrates Diversity Equity & Inclusion concept

HR PROGRAMS INITIATIVES

Implements program from global in Japan and HR initiatives from Japan

  • Drives the focus of performance management towards continuous feedback and coaching throughout the year, as well as the quality of the performance discussions by facilitating and educating leaders toward a culture of high performance and engagement at CSL.
  • Liaises with HR COEs and Employment Legal, work on country specific people agenda, and implement policy and practice in responding to the government requirement and labor law.
  • Develops and executes short/long HR strategy such as diversified working style such as hybrid working model, diversified compensation scheme with various working style and retirement policy with aging society
  • Supports the cyclical compensation and benefits program across the designated client group
  • Prepares statistical reports of types and frequency of actions taken to identify problem areas.
  • Plans and executes the initiatives for “Promising FUTURES”, especially employee “Well-Being”
  • Holds Health and Safety Committee
  • Works for Business Contingency Plan
  • Implements terminations including termination letters, exit interview, and related documentation.
  • Supports managers to consider the employment plan after retirement.
  • Reviews and updates Rules of employment

EMPLOYEE RELATIONS

  • Resolve ER/IR issues with leaders, line managers and employees by fairly representing all interests.
  • Coach and educate managers and employees to address all types of employee relations issues

ENHANCE HR SERVICE with HR&GA COE & HR OPERATION

Supports and cooperates with HRGA COE and HR operation closely to provide excellence HR service by below action

  • Provides feedback from employees for continuous improvement
  • Seeks for Operational Excellence with efficient and effective way
  • Proposes materials which employees can refer easily when they utilize HR services

Position Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • HR Professional certification preferred
  • 5-8 years’ experience in HR (HRBP, L&D and C&B experience preferred)
  • Good knowledge of HR programs and processes gained in a dynamic organization
  • Experience in a global company in a matrixed reporting environment is preferred
  • Knowledge of labor / employment law in Japan.
  • Strong business partnering skills with business-oriented mind and HR acumen, including problem solving skills, critical thinking abilities, coaching skills, conflict management project management abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and implement & execute in timely manner
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written and listening) and presentation skills
  • English level (Read/Writing is mandatory, Speak/Listening should be conversation level)
