Raytheon Intelligence & Space is looking to staff a Quality Audits and Document Systems Manager position at our Goleta, CA location. The Quality Audits and Document Systems Manager is responsible for the tactical execution and strategic planning of these functions at Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS). This individual is responsible for establishing and maintaining Document System and Assessment processes that meet Enterprise and Customer requirements.

This Quality Audits and Document Systems Manager reports to the RVS Site Mission Assurance Manager. They will act as the AS9100 implementation Leader. Through audits and Functional Areas reviews, the Quality Audits and Document Systems Manager ensures the requirements associated with QMS Certification are implemented and maintained. Core competencies and focus areas include, but not limited to the following:

  • RVS Document Systems and associated processes
  • Robust Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) Process
  • Utilizing audit results to identify trends, drive continual improvement
  • Collaboration across Functional Areas and sites to identify best practices and innovative implementable solutions
  • Staffing plans
  • Mentorship and encouragement of Employee development
  • Champion of Diversity and Inclusion along with Employee Resource Groups
  • Allocating resources effectively and efficiently

The Quality Audits and Document Systems Manager is accountable for the RVS Quality Management System and associated infrastructure. Emphasis on planning, team building to assure command media proficiency to characterize, understand and adapt to Enterprise wide changes.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum eight years applicable professional experience in Engineering/Quality/Auditing.
  • Experience with dynamic process mapping
  • Strong demonstration of Enterprise Values and Behaviors and Code of Conduct: Stronger Together
  • Experience with Quality Management System auditing, assessments and RCCA tools to assure actions prevent recurrence
  • Effectively communicate with site peers, executive management, Quality Engineering, and external Customers
  • Ability to effectively organize/prioritize multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and solve problems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft application software including PowerPoint, SharePoint (RShare) and Excel

Desired Skills:

  • Certified Six Sigma black belt or R6S Expert
  • Current AS9100 auditor certification (Lead Auditor)
  • Mission Assurance Certification Program (MACP), Level 4 certification
  • Experience with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) processes
  • Leadership training
  • Experience with government auditors
  • Knowledge of current tools and processes (RCAS)
  • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS)

Required Education:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
  • Bachelor of Art Degrees in an appropriate field of science (Computer Science, Chemistry or Physics)
  • Bachelor of Art Degree in Mathematics

Desired Education:

  • For the Bachelor of Art Degrees listed above, ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
