Job Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs Bank USA in Wilmington, DE. In the role as a leader of a credit risk strategy team, the incumbent will be responsible for managing a new and growing team. This role requires the candidate to be able to analyze data, find insights and use that to build new strategies. We’re looking for a professional to join our Credit Risk Strategy team who wants to use their skills and ideas to build the credit strategy for a digital consumer lending business at Goldman Sachs. Manage a credit risk team driving the development of acquisition and customer management strategies to improve customer level profitability. Develop, implement, and maintain credit underwriting strategy for digital lending products. Analyze data (e.g. traditional and alternative bureau, behavioral & macroeconomic data) to generate insights and optimize credit decisions (accept/decline, pricing, and credit line). Partner with marketing, finance, and operations teams to ensure appropriate execution of credit policy requirements. Partner with product team to build customer experience and product features that lead to better risk-adjusted returns. Review, evaluate, and drive selection of new vendors or data providers to enhance credit management strategies in a continuous improvement environment. Keep up to date on applicable regulations and compliance requirements with possible interactions with internal and external regulators. Communicate effectively to senior management, the executive committee, and regulatory examiners. Remote Work: Will work remotely approximately two (2) days of the week.
Job Requirements: Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree and three (3) years of experience or a Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Three (3) years of experience with a Master’s degree or five (5) years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree with: leading a team to deliver on development, implementation, and governance of credit risk strategies; performing credit risk analytics including credit policy and underwriting criteria development, performing portfolio deep dive analytics, performance measurement and insight generation to influence credit policy; working with U.S. retail (Consumer or small business) lending business models in terms of revenue source, pricing, credit risk management, U.S. credit bureau data, risk scorecards, and ability to pay quantification; visualizing complex data analyses and communicating to a wide variety of audiences, including senior leadership; utilizing statistical techniques including segmentation, decision trees and other advanced risk predictive modeling methods; managing several projects simultaneously and driving end-to-end project delivery; and utilizing statistical tools such as SAS, SQL, R, Python (or similar)
