International Business Development Analyst

SUMMARY: The Business Development Assistant / Analyst will provide general business oversight to our high-volume and strategic partners in the EMEA region, inclusive of franchises, Joint Ventures, and other business models. Using insights and analysis, he or she will support robust strategic and tactical business plans, and ensure that various enablers are supporting these plans to drive a successful/profitable business. This role will excel and be energized by detailed processes and enjoy influencing and collaborating in a highly matrixed team across all key retail functions, and provide an agile flexible, and analytical skill set to deliver insightful data and analysis, define metrics, and address operational challenges with a quantitative approach. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop and manage strong working relationships with select members of the Partner’s management team and cross-functional team, to confidently achieve business results 
  • Analyze Sales Data & KPIs on a weekly basis; support in the identification of risk, opportunities, and next steps to help drive bottom-line sales 
  • Partner closely with Planning & Field Operations to identify store-level opportunities for organic growth on a week-to-week basis 
  • Assist Planning on inventory management and impact on the monthly/quarterly/annual forecasts 
  • Assist in pricing analysis, competitive set insights, and new channel/market research; develop an understanding of local markets, trends, competition, nuances, threats, and opportunities 
  • Manage New Store Request (NSR) intake, ensure a complete and accurate information, and facilitate feasibility studies with Store Design & Construction 
  • Manage Market Sizing data set load on an annual basis (CIA Factbook, Euromonitor) 
  • Consolidate, validate, and submit Seasonal Brief requests 
  • Maintain International store list, new business development tracking, and store status tracker; build and maintain International store/marketplace directory 
  • Manage day-to-day administration and Partner management as needed; publish meeting agendas and minutes for all EMEA BD meetings 
  • Maintain International Milestone Calendar 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required 
  • 3-6+ years of related experience, in multi-store/multi-channel/specialty retail brands; international product/brand experience is required, working with organizations outside of the United States a strong plus. 
  • Experience working with franchised, licensed, or JV partnerships across international markets 
  • Extremely strong verbal & written communication skills and demonstrated ability to influence; ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment 
  • Extremely strong business acumen; demonstrated ability to immediately identify areas of the business that need attention and escalate with proposed solutions 
  • Strong instincts and passion for customer and brand experience; innovative and willing to take calculated risks 
  • Experience working in matrixed organizational structures is a plus 
  • Ability to work outside of standard U.S. business hours is required
