Manager of Finance - Post Payment Audit - Global Finance & Accounting

Who You'll Work With

You will be based out of our Gurugram or Chennai office, managing our Post Payment Audit team as part of McKinsey's Finance Global Operations practice (Global Ops) with presence in India, Poland and China.

The Post Payment Audit (PPA) function is a forensic audit team providing periodic reviews of travel expense reimbursements, directly billed expenses (e.g., ground transportation, flights, etc.), and P-Card purchases for fraud, abuse, or misuse of firm resources. 

What You'll Do

Audit procedures often require cross-referencing multiple data sources for items that could not be detected when submitted as a single expense. You will manage a team that uses advanced analytical tools in the screening process to identify high spenders, trends, and outliers compared to their peers. 

You will be primarily responsible for overseeing the daily operations and deliverables of the audit team. In addition, you will have an excellent understanding of industry best practices and the latest advanced analytic and AI capabilities available. You will also have a strong understanding of database management and report development.

You will be expected to provide growth and mentoring opportunities for team members, demonstrate advanced levels of review and guidance on each audit, identify opportunities for new analyses, and work with each auditor to produce quality audit reports for senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of forensic audit experience, with experience in leading a team in a multinational shared-services environment
  • Prior public accounting experience
  • Chartered accountant, master's degree, or MBA is preferred; professional certification such as CPA, CFE, CIA, or CISA is required
  • Experience with business intelligence development including use of statistics, data modeling, data mining and predictive analytics
  • Great understanding of process automation, AA, AI,ML, natural language processing, and robotic process automation 
  • Experience writing business requirements for technical development
  • Operational understanding of agile principles for project management
  • Resourceful self-starter who demonstrates initiative and ownership and displays high energy level 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a keen ability to influence senior stakeholders 
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively across all levels and teams at the organization
