Senior Finance Analyst

Peterborough, UK

Reporting to the UK Supply Chain Finance Director.

This role is responsible for providing data and insights for the UK Supply Chain organisation and to support the Peterborough plant with day-to-day activities, including the forecast and budget process, and undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the UK SC Finance Director.

The role involves close collaboration with supply chain local leaders, commercial and supply chain finance teams, as well as Center of Excellence (COE) Finance teams, to provide valuable performance insights.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner the UK Finance Director on budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting as required.
  • Manage period-end accruals, follow up on open purchase orders, and ensure timely settlement.
  • Perform variance analysis during month-end, forecast and budget reviews and conduct findings with site stakeholders, monitor the implementation of corrective actions/plans.
  • Act as the SOX Control owner for low-risk controls at the Peterborough plant.
  • Ensure that inventory at risk for the site is adequately reviewed by stakeholders.
  • Support periodic inventory counts to maintain accurate records.
  • Assist the UK SC Finance Director with Activity-Based Costing (ABC) modelling and the annual standards setup process.
  • Support products costings for the NPD’s (New Products Development)
  • Handle ad hoc requests related to UK manufacturing.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • CIMA, ACCA or equivalent Accounting Part qualified.
  • Experience in financial data analysis and reporting.
  • Good technical aptitude including extensive experience with Excel.
  • SAP experience.
  • Spreadsheets, TM1, Power BI and Business Warehouse.
  • Experience in Manufacturing environment - desirable
  • Experience with ABC Costing and practical experience with cost – desirable.
  • Personal leadership - self-motivated and goal orientated.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and multiskilled environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to influence others without formal authority.
  • Inquisitive minded and creative thinking.
