Position Summary:

In the Product Lead - UX Spend Management position, you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of our products and services by developing and executing a comprehensive, innovative product strategy that aligns with our business goals and objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, identify opportunities for innovation, and design intuitive and user-centric experiences that set us apart in the marketplace. 

This position works within our DSSI business.

The DSSI platform connects care providers directly to their unique supply chain networks and delivers data-driven and AI-powered procurement tools to help our customers optimize profitability and efficiency at every turn. 

Competencies & Skills Needed:

  • Demonstrated experience and passion for working on AI products, such as natural language models, recommendation systems, chatbots, and conversation design
  • Delivers Results - Delivers a proactive and self-starting approach, taking initiative to identify areas where UX strategy and market/user research is needed and finding answers to key questions independently.
  • Thinks Strategically - Takes the lead in managing stakeholder and company initiatives and translates business objectives into customer-facing concepts and plans.
  • Demonstrates Influence and Organizational Agility - Plan, facilitate, and co-deliver workshops with customers (participants range from end users to C-level) to define new features and desired outcomes within the product experience
  • Communicates Effectively - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively influence and inspire others towards a shared vision of user-centric design and innovation. Synthesize research findings into actionable models, stories, and frameworks to guide decision-making

What You’ll Do and Impact: 

  • Stay on the cutting edge of what’s new in technology and user experience, leading the team to identify and experiment with new AI technologies, tools and methodologies.
  • Work proactively through the ambiguity of understanding customer needs and ensures the resulting experiences are simple, clear, and compelling. 
  • Partner with leadership and product management to lead the definition of solutions based on user insights, business needs, and industry trends that further business growth and outcomes. 
  • Gather and communicate insights for discovery and lead user validation efforts; frame problems and solutions from the user’s point of view to present recommendations that inform product decision-making.
  • Convert complex data, insights, and research into clear, concise, and actionable steps for new products and the evolution of new products within DSSI and ASG.
  • Lead and facilitate usability testing and prototyping for a portfolio of products.
  • Develop and define product strategies and user experiences for new and existing products and features with an AI-first mentality.
  • Play a crucial role in ensuring that products, services, or digital experiences are intuitive, user-friendly, and meet the needs and expectations of the target audience.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in user experience design, research, or strategy roles, with a track record of driving impactful outcomes in fast-paced technology-driven environments.
  • Experience with product strategy and user experience for AI-based products and services. 
  • Proven experience partnering with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and customer success, to deliver successful products and experiences.
  • Strong understanding of user research methodologies, including qualitative and quantitative approaches, and experience applying research findings to inform product strategy and decision-making.
  • Proficiency in prototyping and design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or Figma.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies applied to product development.

  • Startup or new software product development experience. 
  • Direct experience working on AI and data-driven technology products and platforms. 
  • Industry experience in healthcare or foodservice. 
  • Experience defining product strategy.
