Social Media Internship

Position Summary: Clayton offers a multitude of different opportunities through our Summer Internship Program. The Clayton Summer Internship Program challenges students to think critically and analytically within their field of study while allowing them direct, hands-on working experience. 

Internship Program Details:

  • Internships are paid, full-time, hourly positions.
  • Exact internship dates to be announced, but typically run 12 weeks from late May through early August.
  • Internships include several professional development workshops and opportunities for networking with other interns across Clayton's various lines of business.
  • Interns will facilitate a presentation to Clayton Senior Leadership ahead of program completion.

What you will do:

  • Create and present full social media campaign, to include:
  • Defining strategy & KPIs
  • Creating campaign content
  • Work alongside Social team to create video content for social channels
  • Instagram Reels
  • TikTok
  • Brainstorm campaign ideas for Social, bringing new and creative ideas for our channels
  • Provide engaging text, image, and video content for social media accounts in line with Clayton brand standards and corporate social media practices for designated accounts
  • Work closely with the Content, Photography, PR, and Videography teams to develop engaging content
  • Identify creative, engaging new content opportunities to share with the team
  • Assist with social media reporting and analyze channel performance
  • Report on social media trends

What skills you will learn or develop:

  • This intern will receive hands-on training and experience to better understand corporate social media management, as well as bridge the gap between an academic setting and work environment.
  • By the end of the program, this intern will better understand:
  • Content strategy and creation
  • Social analytics and performance reporting
  • Best practices for various social platforms
  • Social engagement and reputation / crisis management
  • Large-scale social media monitoring and scheduling tool(s)

Qualifications:

  • Must be a junior or senior enrolled in a degree program in Digital Marketing & Social Media, Social Media Marketing, Digital Communications, or related field.
  • Strong presentation skills required as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Some experience in digital marketing / social media marketing required.
  • Strong knowledge of major social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Knowledge of social media analytics to track post and campaign performance preferred.
  • Excellent internet research skills desired.
  • Influencer campaign knowledge or experience preferred.
