Job Description:

Reports to : HO AIT

Mission of the Job :

The main objectives of the role are the test engineering activities mainly in RF, digital, electrical and optical fields, particularly for space and avionic application

Main activities:

RF and Antenna Test Engineer primary tasks:

  • Definition of test methods, test sequences and specific test setups for RF, electrical and optical
  • Production of test plans, procedures and reports
  • Development of the operational applications and automatic procedures for RF testing and optical testing.
  • execution of RF/ electrical/optical test activities until final delivery of flight and avionic equipment/subsystems/payload
  • Post processing and analysis of test results.
  • knowledge of mechanical integration and RF/DC/optical harness connection
  • identification of GSE and facilities requirements
  • RF/EGSE/OGSE design and MAIT coordination
  • support anomalies investigations to identify root causes.
  • support Lesson Learned sessions
  • Ability to comply with the cleanroom and workshop Health, Safety Environment and cleanliness rule

Education/Training:

Essential:

  • Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering

Desirable:

  • Post-graduation degree

Experience Essential:

  • At least 4-5 years of work experience on RF/Optical Test Engineering including integration and test procedure preparation,consolidated experience on RF, electricaland optical testing by means of the most common measurement techniques and instrumentation analysis of test results and test report preparation RF/EGSE/OGSE design and MAIT coordination

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the V&V process
  • Familiarity with the definition of AIT plans
  • Basic knowledge of digital, electrical, RF and optical design
  • Basic knowledge of the fundamentals of crimping and soldering processes according to ECSS standards
  • Capacity to operate Thermal Vacuum Chamber and Climatic Chamber
  • background in projects in the frame of ECSS standards and DO-160
