General Summary:

  • Under general direction, facilitates and assists in (1) the administration of Sheppard Pratt client rights and grievance procedure program (2) Quality Council and Consumer Advisory Committees; (3) Performance improvement initiatives that may apply across various departments/programs. 
  • Provides liaison, education, and counseling to clients and staff regarding the protection of client rights according to established policies and procedures and regulations.
  • Facilitates and conducts a variety of performance improvement initiatives which includes collection and analysis of data, development and implementation of action plans, and tracking recommendations. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Work requires comprehensive knowledge of health care administration and its governing laws and effective oral and written communication skills - acquired through master’s degree in clinical psychology, counseling, or related behavioral health services field of study. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree will be considered eligible provided that they are on track to complete master’s degree within one year in the position or are a Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) 
  • Work requires 3-5 years of clinical experience in order to gain comprehensive knowledge of clinical documentation requirements, knowledge of the laws and regulations pertaining to clients’ rights, general knowledge in the requirements and review processes of CARF and state regulatory agencies. Requires demonstrated experience in researching and preparing for audits/reviews and broad knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation including evidence based/best practices.
