As Group Legal Counsel, you will be leading legal operations for a dynamic and growing Group Company. The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background, exceptional leadership skills, and a proactive approach to legal compliance and risk management. The role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate closely with the executive leadership team to ensure legal compliance across all group companies.
  • Provide strategic legal guidance and support to senior management on pertinent legal matters.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, statutory regulations, and procedural requirements.
  • Design and implement company policies and procedures to manage and mitigate legal risks effectively.
  • Oversee legal compliance and risk management for in-house counsel and legal administrative teams.
  • Stay abreast of legislative changes, especially those directly impacting the business and industry.
  • Lead a legal team responsible for all entities within the group.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Law or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of combined experience in reputable law firms and corporate environments, with international exposure preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership and management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of legal compliance in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and initial public offerings (IPOs).
  • Proven track record of strong decision-making and effective leadership.
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time-management abilities.
  • Self-motivated with outstanding analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
