Job Details: 

The AVP, Digital Content Excellence will lead L’Oréal USA’s digital content strategy across social and digital platforms. In partnership with your counterparts in the Chief Digital and Marketing Office and Divisional stakeholders, you will help establish and scale creative and platform best practices, powered by data and insights to drive performance. This creative, yet analytical and data-driven marketer, will help lead our brands in creating meaningful consumer connections across the digital and social ecosystem. 

What You Will Do:  

  • Craft and animate a framework for the US market challenges, integrating global priorities so L’Oreal USA can accelerating content creation, execution, measurement, and optimization at L’Oreal USA.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of external partners/vendors platforms offering to unlock access and increase adoption of features that will enhance the relevancy of content in a given environment. Own relationship with designated external agencies and manage optimal service levels across LUSA. Socialize a POV and guide LUSA’s entry to new social platforms and the implementation of new features/formats 
  • Unlock relevant partners that will help monitor content compliance and measure content performance effectively. Develop with Global and Market Stakeholders the appropriate metrics and visualizations that will help drive content performance (alignment across LUSA/ Global on KPIs to implement Social Media Optimization (SMO) & Social Media Marketing campaigns across platforms). Collaborate with social listening teams, CMI and brand teams to generate insights and create actionable, operational reports and playbooks that lead to optimization and efficiency in content performance 
  • Ensure content development best practices are adopted to increase brand exposure, strengthen brand image while preventing dilution of brand voice. Provide a strategic framework to embed DE&I priorities in all aspects of content creation & deployment. Track brand activations and initiate the sharing of social media trends and best practices across the LUSA community educating internal and external stakeholders. Drive test and learn approach on Skincare and Makeup.com websites and social platforms to drive group-wide content innovation. 
  • Reconcile the L’Oreal USA content factories initiatives across Divisions to ensure operational efficiencies within platform and DMI requirements while maintaining L’Oreal creative and brand integrity.  Manage upcoming content studio strategy and implementation. 
  • Explore and recommend technology trends that will help scale content production volumes and variations styles required to offer relevancy to consumers at the speed of culture. Vet and lead the implementation of pilot opportunities with our JBP/key social platform teams and work collaboratively with the media team to co-create new opportunities for our brands 

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 10+ years of digital marketing, integrated marketing, content strategy, social media marketing
  • Expertise in social content strategy and measurement, e-commerce and in-depth knowledge of the top social platforms and associated best practices
  • Ability to lead, direct and challenge external partners and internal brands in Content and Digital strategy, process, measurement methods and approach
  • Data-driven and results-oriented. Content that works is about learning and optimizing. You will succeed in this role if you’re both into the Art & the Science of Content
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and focused on projects from developing the vision and strategy to executing and evaluating the results
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and commitment to a high degree of quality and integrity in Creative
  • Ability to interact and present to all levels of the organization, including top management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment with a positive and team-oriented, collaborative approach
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications including PowerPoint, Word and Excel required. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite InDesign, Photoshop a plus
  • Beauty background preferred
