Position Summary...

Ad Tech data science team at Walmart Labs, Bangalore is focused on using the latest research in machine learning, statistics, and optimization to solve business problems in ad tech domain. We build models to empower decision-making, work with engineers to build reference architectures and machine learning pipelines in a big data ecosystem. Advanced algorithms driven by our team help Walmart to optimize user response, ads ROI and business practices, reduce cost and pass those benefits to our customers. You will be contributing towards building data science solutions by closely collaborating with our stakeholders at USA and provide solution to business challenges. In most cases the prioritization of business challenges is based on impact and hence your contributions can have direct impact to our businesses.

What you'll do:

Leads the end-to-end deployment workflows of complex Machine Learning/Deep Learning/Gen-AI (LLM based) projects in collaboration with in-house team of Junior/Senior/Staff Data Scientists and Junior/Mid-Senior Machine Learning Engineers. Proactively collaborates with the Data Scientists on various AdTech projects and works on developing Technical Design/Low Level Design (LLD) diagrams. Constantly leads the D2D monitoring, observability and operational excellence of deployed ML models in production, to ensure their seamless and smooth functioning at all times. Is constantly up-to-date with latest tech stack and innovations in cloud computing, system design, distributed computing, container and workflow orchestration, SQL & NoSQL databases and APIs.

Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy. What you'll bring:

  • Strong experience in end-to-end leading of complex ML model deployments in Cloud (GCP/AWS/Azure) with large scale data.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Python/PySpark programming, Spark Optimisations, Spark-APIs.
  • Strong experience in ML-Ops and associated tools (ML-flow, Kubeflow, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
  • Good to have experience in fine tuning pre-trained LLMs (LLAMA2, Pythia, Falcon, Mistral etc.)
