BGSV – Bosch Global Software Technologies Company Limited (Previous name: RBVH - Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Vietnam Company Limited) is 100% owned subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH.

BGSV has started its operations from 19th October, 2010 at E-Town2 in HCMC. This engineering development center will be engaged in developing embedded systems and software, mechanical design and simulation, and will provide IT (SAP Consulting, JAVA Development….) and Business Services (Finance and accounting, Economics, Purchasing, Logistics, Translations Japanese-English-Japanese, Information Security ) solutions to the Bosch group of companies globally.

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Embedded Software Project/Delivery Manager to lead & drive the SW development project (for Engine Management System) for adaptation to business and/or technology changes. The Embedded Software Project/Delivery Manager engages directly with Customer, development teams, technical delivery teams and HW system teams to ensure the successful design, development, and delivery of technology-based solutions.

To be successful as a Embedded Software Project/Delivery Manager, you should be able to drive the software change and release management processes, assisting with the overall maturity of the software development lifecycle. Ultimately, a top-notch Embedded Software Project/Delivery Manager will ensure that software deliverables comply with quality standards and are completed on time.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Create and lead the project core team and assign responsibility for the different functional areas.
  • Lead the efforts and activities to resolve issues of the project.
  • Develop program timelines and activity reports to drive the on-time completion of critical tasks.
  • Responsible for organizing, leading and tracking activities for the development, implementation, and maintenance of engineering changes utilizing the Bosch change process to ensure customer milestones are met. Hold the team accountable to achieve project deliverables.
  • Coordinates and reports status of internal project deliverables using Bosch tools.
  • Review specifications, drawings, requirements, etc. to develop and prepare impact analysis against initial project premises & coordinate change points with applicable stakeholders.
  • Manage / communicate internally customer program data for forecast / planning activities.
  • Escalates issues for resolution as required.

Qualifications

Mandatory Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering
  • 2+ years of previous Project Management experience
  • 6+ years’ experience in Embedded Software development
  • Embedded SW Development & Co-ordination
  • Good English language skills (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening)
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Strong documentation and writing skills
  • SW Development life cycle/process

Desirable Skills:

  • PMQ/PMP preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written (English) language skills required. German and/or Japanese skills a plus.
  • Individual must have ability to make independent decisions that may be of a complex nature.
  • Ability to create a goal, strategy and plan to support achievement of the mission for the department and the project. This would include understanding the strengths and weaknesses of the organization and individual team members along with the challenges of each project, defining the priorities and strategy to fulfill specific objectives of the mission, and motivating / supporting / developing / leading the team to execute the proper plans to fulfill the mission.
  • Ability to create and deliver clear, concise presentations.
  • Must have moderate to advanced computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Outlook software.
  • Individual must possess the interpersonal skills to communicate with coworkers and customers in a professional manner.
  • Strong in C/C++ language Programming
  • Scripting languages (python, Perl, vb …)
  • Exposure to Micro-controllers or Microprocessors
  • Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review
