Job Summary

Full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the Business Department. Position includes oversight of the Royals Investment Fund, a student-managed fund.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the range of business courses, likely including Investments, Capital Markets, Personal Finance, and other finance and/or finance-related courses as needs arise
  • Engage in ongoing professional and/or scholarly development
  • Provide guidance to students running the Royals Investment Fund, and execute trades (this constitutes part of the teaching load)
  • Fulfill general faculty responsibilities including undergraduate student academic advising, departmental responsibilities, student recruitment, and committee assignments
  • Live out a commitment to the liberal arts educational mission and Christian orientation of the University
  • Contribute to an academic environment that seeks to advance inclusive excellence in the department and the discipline

Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate disciplinary knowledge, work collaboratively, think creatively, and utilize technology

Experience

  • Experience with portfolio management required
  • Record of successful college teaching and/or mentoring experience preferred
  • Participation and evidence of ongoing professional and scholarly development as well as experience in implementing innovative solutions preferred

Education

Master’s degree in Business with an emphasis in Finance required; CFA charter, Ph.D. or DBA preferred
