Job Description

The Associate Director, Quality Strategic will be a member of the Animal Health Excellence Quality Team. The Associate Director provides Quality strategy support and compliance oversight to all network quality activities impacting USA large molecules. The Associate Director will be accountable for the definition and planning of quality strategic initiatives throughout the USA organization. This multifaceted role includes participating in increasingly complex strategy evaluations and demonstrating knowledge and understanding of USDA GMP regulations, guidelines and expectations in their application in daily operations. The position is based at the De Soto site, and may require traveling to other Animal Health sites, up to 20 % of the time.

Responsibilities Includes:

  • Support Strategic Quality Projects at various sites or involving sites in the network, and reporting progress to governance bodies.
  • Lead handover activities from quality strategic to transfer execution
  • Develop in collaboration with other functions quality strategies
  • Develop in collaboration with other quality members guidance on USDA transfer compliance requirements.
  • Support teams in quality business case development for strategical-related actions .
  • Apply Animal Health Quality Standards guidance for all USA projects
  • Applying and communicating/sharing preferred strategical transfer practices
  • Lead capacity and capabilities assessments for Quality projects decisions.
  • Links closely with Transfers Teams through Global Quality Network.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology or Veterinary or related scientific discipline
  • Minimum 7+ years experience in Pharmaceutical Industry with Biological products, including site based manufacturing or Quality.
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of USDA GMP regulations, guidelines and expectations in their application in daily operations.
  • MPS certification (green belt minimum preferably)
  • Strong communication and influencing abilities
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects
  • Strong ability to initiate and drive change within complex organizations
  • Learning ability: auto didactive, actively learning new concepts, applying in practice and training others
  • Communication skills: is able to effectively communicate to different target groups (technicians, (middle, senior, global) management and peers, and across boundaries.
  • Task-oriented leadership: connects to strategy, leads complex multidisciplinary (global) projects and programs and has the ability to drive project sponsorship and gain support and resources.
  • Focus on results: drives results based on strategy and customer needs.
  • Self-reflection: is actively looking for feedback and translates this to personal development actions.
