Your Next Career Opportunity – Accountant II

Apply accounting principles under USGAAP and local GAAP (including lease and job cost accounting) to analyze and organize the finances of the organization, and prepare financial statements. Provide financial support to all levels of the company and ensure that all Company policies, country laws, and tax regulations are followed.

What You Will Do – Primary Responsibilities

  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries within the general ledger and the job cost sub-ledger.
  • Complete month-end close and journal entries according to the timeline established in coordination with the local team and other corporate departments.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly analyses of financial statements.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to ensure the accuracy of financial information across all entities.
  • Responsible for the compilation, validation, reconciliation, and assurance that all ground and tenant lease information is correctly reflected in the company’s Project Management Database corporate system (PMDB).
  • Assist with preparation of schedules for quarterly external audit review and the year- end audit.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual schedules for our internal Tax department.
  • Active participation in the design and implementation of continuous improvement in accounting and reporting processes to drive efficiencies.
  • Assist with Sarbanes Oxley documentation and test requirements (including process walk-throughs for external and internal auditors).
  • Monitor and analyze the work-in-process report on an ongoing basis, provide analysis of job cost transactions and related reconciliation of account balances.

What You’ll Need – Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field of study; and at least 3 years of accounting or finance experience.
  • Experience with Great Plains, Job Costing and Hyperion Financial Management or comparable software preferred
